Common questions.
Daylace shows an empty day
Daylace needs full access to Calendar and Reminders. Open Settings, then Privacy & Security, and turn on Full Access for Daylace under both Calendars and Reminders. On a Mac this lives in System Settings under Privacy & Security.
A calendar or list is missing
Open Daylace’s settings and check the calendar and list filter. Anything turned off there isn’t loaded. If an account is missing altogether, add it to the Calendar or Reminders app first, and Daylace will see it.
Fill my gaps left some tasks waiting
A task only goes into a gap it fits. If every gap today is shorter than the task, it waits in the tray. Drag it to a slot yourself, or let Daylace split it across a few free slots.
A task’s time changed in Reminders
That’s expected. When Daylace plans a task, it saves the slot as the reminder’s due time, so the plan shows up in Reminders and Calendar on every device.
Moving an event by mistake
Tap Undo on the notice that appears after the move. It puts the event and any tasks it bumped back where they were. In Calendar, you can also move the event back by hand.
Adding the widgets
Touch and hold an empty spot on the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Daylace. On the Lock Screen, touch and hold, tap Customize, then add the Tasks Left widget. On a Mac, right-click the desktop and choose Edit Widgets.
Turning off nudges
Open Daylace’s settings and turn off nudges on that device. Your other devices keep their own setting.
Using Siri
Say “What’s next in Daylace”, “Add a task to Daylace”, “Fill my gaps in Daylace” or “Check off a task in Daylace”. The same actions are in the Shortcuts app.
