terms of use
null is licensed to you under apple's standard end user license agreement. these terms add a few points specific to null.
what null is for
null is a self control tool. it uses apple's screen time features to block apps and websites you choose, for the times you choose.
blocks are your choice
- you decide what gets blocked, for how long, and what it takes to end a block early. some ways out are deliberately hard, and "no way out" can't be ended early except through the emergency exit.
- don't block anything you may need in an emergency. the emergency exit ends any session at any time, and ios keeps emergency calls available regardless.
- null relies on apple's screen time frameworks. if apple changes or limits them, or you turn off screen time access for null, blocks may stop working.
null pro
- null pro is optional. starting a block, every way out, up to two schedules, insights, the nfc chip and shortcuts are free without it.
- it adds daily limits, strict mode, unlimited schedules, home and lock screen widgets, alternate app icons, your own words on the blocked-app screen and your own typing pledge.
- null pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
- the yearly plan may start with a free trial for new subscribers. if you don't cancel before the trial ends, the yearly price is charged when it does.
- payment is charged to your apple account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends. a subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- you can manage or cancel a subscription in iphone settings → your name → subscriptions, or from null → settings → null pro. cancelling stops the next renewal; null pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
- if null pro ends, daily limits pause and strict mode turns off. your schedules, history and settings stay as they are.
- purchases are handled by apple and refunds go through apple. you can restore null pro on any device signed in to the same apple account. with family sharing, people in your family group can use it too.
no warranty
null is provided as is. it's built with care, but it can't promise to be free of bugs or to block every app in every situation. to the extent the law allows, the developer isn't liable for losses from using or being unable to use null, including missed messages or calls while apps were blocked.
changes
these terms may be updated as null changes. the latest version always lives here, with its effective date.
